Today I took what I think are some of the most amazing photos I have ever taken. Not because of my limited picture taking abilities, but because of the subject. Imagine being able to photograph one of the smallest and elusive birds on the planet, the hummingbird, at its most vulnerable stage in life, birth and nesting.
It's amazing to say the least, the mother is so small that the eggs are barely larger than lizard eggs. The nest inside is no larger than a dollar coin. The construction of the nest is such an engineering piece, so perfectly woven, and camouflage built into it, yet, it is so beautiful.
These are only a few of the pictures I took, and not even the best ones, since I haven't had time to sort them an process them, and I'm posting this with my phone. I hope you are as amazed as I was watching these. Enjoy.
